Care Unlimited is proud to announce that all 5 of its nominations to the 2013 Surrey Care Awards have been made it through to the finals, and will be judged later this November.
The Surrey Care Awards are the best opportunity in Surrey to recognise the hard work, achievements and commitment of people in the Independent Care Sector, bringing together the most ambitious care providers in Surrey, and health and social care professionals.
Our staff have reached the finals of various categories before, but we do hope to land a succession of wins this time round. We did receive very heart warming testimonials from residents, relatives and colleagues which certainly helped present their nominations effectively.
Here are the categories we are hoping our finalists will win:
– Frontline Leader’s Award, 2 finalists: James Ballinger Dom Care/Supported Living Team Leader, AND Gassan Coopersamy, Chipstead Lodge Care Home Team Leader.
– Care Newcomer Award, Robert Munns – Group’s Activities Coordinator, based at Chaldon Rise
– Dementia Care Team Award, – Care and Nursing staff at Chaldon Rise Care Home
– Outstanding Contribution to Social Care Award , our nursing founders and family directors Danny and Carmelita Shamtally – 40 years each in Health and Social Care in Surrey, 30 running Care Unlimited.
We wish all of the finalists above all the very best for the night. The event is being hosted once again at the Epsom Derby Racecourse on 22nd November 2013. They all throroughly deserve to win, but we know the competition will be tough on the night. We shall keep you posted. If they do win in their categories, they shall be entered for the National Care Awards in Decemeber 2013!
