Our Supported Living Service at Strada Care

Strada Care provides 24 hour Supported Living services across various private houses in Surrey and Sutton for adults with Learning Disabilities including autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Challenging Needs and ADHD. Some of our older adults are also supported with Physical Disabilities. Differing to the care home model, supported living at Strada Care involves a separation between the local authority funded care package (usually calculated in hours) provided by Strada Care and our landlord company (sometimes through a Housing Association) that provides accommodation through a tenancy agreement, usually funded through housing benefit.

Our team is headed by a diverse and experienced management team, and all house teams have a trained Team Leader. Support centres strongly around the tailored person-centred care plan that identifies your needs and abilities, and the emphasis of promoting independence for a fulfilled life. We extend the specialist care through innovative learning resources and development services/activities – see Horticulture and Resource Centre.

We currently provide services to clients funded by Surrey, Sutton, Croydon, Lambeth, Hillingdon, Gloucestershire and Southwark Social Services, and seek new local authorities to work and commission with.

Supporting you, the client – how does it work?

Strada’s Supported Living services can help if you you have a learning disability and any associated diagnosis of autism. You might have a some other complex needs, requiring some mental health support. You may not want to live in a care home but you’re finding it difficult to cope at home. Our supported living homes are shared by between 3 and 7 people with similar abilities, and levels of support.
With support in your own rented accommodation, Strada Care provides appropriate levels of personal care such as assistance with washing or going to the toilet. We will support you with other aspects of daily living such as cooking, shopping, finances and taking any medication you may have. Our dedicated team will also support you with your community and social interactions including health visits, attending your activities or clubs, and also on your holidays… we shall support you throughout your life journey.

Our ultimate aim to support and enable you wherever possible with personal development and independence, whilst being supported with the appropriate level of risk management.
