Reza Shamtally

Managing Director

 I’m Reza, Managing Director of the Strada Care. I lead the strategic vision and business development of Strada Care, working closely with the operations team on a day to day basis; and our housing team. I specialise in the commercial, marketing and IT parts of the Strada Care. I grew up in the family care business which my parents setup back in 1983, both RMN nurses, and eventually joined the management team a few years after studying International Management with French at university and working in the corporate tech sector.

Over the past 20 years I have developed existing and new services in nursing and residential care and more recently, supported living. In addition, I previously set up and ran a Design and Marketing consultancy working with SMEs and corporates in print and digital, and initiated projects focusing on art therapy and horticulture for adults with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. I also sit on the board of directors of the Surrey Care Association, and the trust of a Hertfordshire Multi Academy Trust of Primary Schools.

My knowledge spans social care, with an interest in technology and a passion for innovation in the sector including nutrition, gut health and holistic therapies. I am also a proud member of the Reinventing Social Care movement which leads and proposes solutions to fix an under-resourced and undervalued broken social care system, working with a very inspiring trailblazing team of experienced care leaders. This helps me stay optimistic and positive in a very challenging sector which is underfunded and urgently needs reform.

I’m a big UFC fan and very active and passionate about the martial arts and boxing. I have a new-found love for Yoga for mind and body, and I also love a good weekly mountain bike ride come rain or shine. I am the proud father of two wonderful children.

The most important angle to running a care business is getting to know our people – each and every one of our wonderful clients, and our very dedicated and hard-working staff. This ensures I steer Strada Care towards delivering the outcomes that our people really want, and the privilege of supporting them on that journey.
