Chris Knight
Group Operations Manager
CQC Registered Manager
I began my career in health and social care in 1994 as a Care Assistant at Ashcroft Care Services. My early experiences ignited my passion for supporting individuals with learning disabilities, mental health disorders, and autism spectrum disorders. I quickly advanced through roles at Priory Home Care and THF Care Estates, where I honed my skills in active support and behavioral management.
My leadership journey took a significant leap when I joined the Care Management Group (CMG) in 2001. Over the years, I progressed from Deputy Home Manager to Senior Regional Operations Manager, overseeing over 50 care services for both adults and children. My tenure at CMG was marked by my direct involvement in service acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and the development of a resident’s forum to encourage stakeholder engagement.
As Head of Business Development & Quality at MAC Community Care Ltd, I was instrumental in growing the organisation from the ground up. I led efforts that resulted in employing over 60 staff and delivering substantial support hours each week. My strategic direction helped forge strong relationships with local authorities and establish robust governance systems that supported sustainable growth.
Since September 2023, I have have been serving as the Group Operations Manager for Strada Care. In this role, I ensure that both growth and compliance are maintained across the localities and supported living services operated by the organisation. I continues to develop the team and foster a culture of support, collaboration, and inclusivity. Working within a family business aligns to my own personal values and base for improving the quality of life for the people we support and employ. Our mission is to enhance and provide a safe living and work space which is intrinsic to creating a culture of care and support at every level, which emanates from our support team up. This will empower our support teams to enable the people we support to live a life that is fulfilled promoting and enabling greater autonomy and independence.
My dedication to the health and social care sector is evident in my continuous pursuit of excellence, with strong business acumen and a proven track record of driving businesses forward in size, reputation, and care standards. My personal values and professional ethos are centred around delivering the highest standards of care and support, making a positive impact on the lives of those I serve.
I have 3 children who are now grown up as well as 2 grandchildren to support, enjoy and live life for. I am a keen gym goer and like to keep fit and active as need to keep up with the grandkids!
