We are very pleased with our new Volunteer Housekeeping Team at our Resource Centre at Weavers. The log cabin is a busy place with courses being taught by Sue Eldridge and the WEA for Horticulture as well various activities and events used for clients supported at Strada Care. We are proud of the excellent work now being carried out by Jo and Joanne who reside within the Weavers premises, supported by our staff. Volunteering roles in the community are always actively encouraged wherever possible, and we have always seen the reward derived from taking on responsibility, as well as the positive social interactions developed. Jo said “I am so pleased with my new job, I even have my own Strada Care Staff ID Badge, look!”.
Jo and Joanne really have improved the cleanliness and hygiene of the log cabin facilities, especially important right now during the Covid Pandemic. Thanks Jo and Joanne, and thank you staff at Weavers for supporting them to carry out this valuable and rewarding work, that will be appreciated by so many.
