Wendy Watson, HR Advisor at Care Unlimited, was delighted to inform the group today that two Care Unlimited staff have reached the finals for the following categories at the 2012 Surrey Care Awards:
– Susan Hill, Care Unlimited DomCare Project Manager of the Year Learning Disabilities
– Elaine Fretwell, Home Manager at Chaldon Rise Care Home in Merstham, Manager of the Year Care Home
With only 12 months in operation, Susan Hill has led the launch and run the 40 strong domiciliary care team across 4 Supported Living Houses across Surrey with very positive feedback from service users, care managers and families.
Elaine continues to run a very tight ship of dedicated nursing, care and support staff at Chaldon Rise delivering high care standards to our residents with varying mental health illnesses and dementia. She has achieved this whilst maintaining a very low staff turnover, making her one of our most effective and popular Home Managers ever.
The awards ceremony takes place on Friday 16th November at Epsom Downs Racecourse for 7.00pm.
If they win their categories, Susan and Elaine will be automatically entered into the Great British Care Awards Southern region.
Congratulations to Elaine and Susan on making yet another final for Care Unlimited at these awards for the 3rd consecutive year! Their fantastic commitment to represent, manage and run their teams and deliver high quality care to their clients will hopefully lead them to a win, or two! We shall keep you all posted.
